Olumo Soundz was founded in 2017 by Nils Lidman and Positive Oluwo in Malmö, Sweden. They had played together before in another afrobeat band, Kakaraka Band, and so had many of the musicians that they now recruited.
Since 2018 they arrange a club with live music, The Shrine, in Malmö with the ambition to recreate some of the spirit of Fela Kuti´s legendary club with the same name in Lagos.
